On November 15th we got the invite from Stephane Plante to participate again on his annual benefit concert. Same as last year, we had a great time playing and enjoyed the atmosphere, great place to deliver our music. Below some very cool videos from that night.
Last June 6th we played at the Pub British; it was a super hot summer night and this time we played for a small group of people, as most of us in these cities were probably enjoying at home with friends, too hot to go out. In any case, the owners of the place treated us with great professionalism, we totally love to work with Josee on these gigs, she is an amazing host.

On the 27th we had the great opportunity to play again at the Upstairs Jazz Bar. This time we had a large group of friends from our workplace that came to see us, which on itself made the whole experience a blast. As we always do, we enjoyed the event and played a lot of music. The show was transmitted through the Upstairs website, and we received reports that the transmission was pretty good, the sound was great and friends and family all around the world could enjoy the event along with us.

Saturday, April 12th, 2014 we played at the Petit Medley on a self-promoted, self-financed, self-produced show, and we got the enormous pleasure to deliver our music to a full-house, people had trouble moving around.... really a fastastic atmosphere, surrounded by lots of our band's friends, a night we will never forget. For the event we had what we consider one of the most musically (and phisically) demanding sets, as we had continuous "challenges" throughtout the songs we played, which once we finished proved us that "we still got it".
As it was the first time we presented Krakatoa there, the people from the Petit Medley are absolutely great to work with, they made it very simple for us at each step of the way. The soundman that night was also a musician that knew how to follow the pulse of our music with great mixing and lightning work.
That night we invited Julie Chapais to play with us, for the first time. July delivered an amazing performance clearly stating her unique style, which moves from very sweet and jazzy to very dark and assertive within the same phrase. With her we played "Nouveal Chemin", "Mercurio", "Bronx" and at the end during the encore she came back so we could finish the night with the febrile rythm of "Atomik Underwear"

On February 8th we had the great pleasure to play at the Pub British again. Same as last time, the experience was absolutely great; we have to admit that playing for people enjoying their diner is risky business, we never know if we would blow their heads off with too much volume, or if someone would start throwing food at us. In any case, the public, the staff attending the Pub and the owners were spectacular. The Pub has gone through major renovations, and the new sound system and decoration gives the vibe of a venue that is becoming a reference site for musicians and people that want to see live/good music.
