Below the examples included on the Useful Melodic Patterns for Bass Guitar book, for pattern number 8

Here is the "easy" example, trying the pattern over the E major scale , starting at the 12 fret on the E string.

Also below, a video playing pattern number 8, E major scale, fret 12.

Now the advanced example, trying the pattern over the B minor natural scale starting at the 14th fret on the E string.
