Below the examples included on the Useful Melodic Patterns for Bass Guitar book, for pattern number 6

Here is the "easy" example, trying the pattern over the Ab major scale , starting at the 6 fret on the E string.

Now the advanced example, trying the pattern over the E minor harmonic scale starting at the 8th fret on the E string.
